ABOUT THE MOVIE - In theaters October 23rd
Cirque Du Freak: The Vampire’s Assistant, based on the popular series of books by Darren Shan, is a fantasy-adventure about a teenager who unknowingly breaks a 200-year-old truce between two warring factions of vampires. Pulled into a fantastic life of misunderstood sideshow freaks and grotesque creatures of the night, one teen will vanish from the safety of a boring existence and fulfill his destiny in a place drawn from nightmares.
Cirque Du Freak has been rated PG-13 (Parents Strongly Cautioned - Some Material May Be Inappropriate for Children Under 13) for sequences of intense supernatural violence and action, disturbing images, thematic elements and some language.

Yes, were going to see this, and taking the kids ( 8 & 12) We were just having a conversation two weeks ago, that there hasn’t been a good halloween movie out suitable for kids, for a while. My son is a huge paranormal freak, like his mother, and loves his vampire movies and books (he’s a Heather Brewer and Buffy fan).
My son came home last week and told me about this movie (his friends had been talking about going). So, he’ll be going to see it with his friends, and then again with us! LOL
Awesome, I love it when a scary movie comes out in time for Halloween, that suitable for kiddies!!

I’m actually debating about this movie. I never read the books, but I remember seeing them back in the day when I shopped in the YA section regularly. Now I only go over there for certain releases! I have actuslly stopped watching True Blood because it became more of a soap opera than what Charlaine Harris actually wrote in her novels. Wasn’t much advestising about it til far recently. When I saw the guy playing the vampire, I lost interst fast.
