Wicked by Lorie O’Clare
Perry Roth is a Cariboo Lunewolf. They are considered the largest breed of werewolf which made Perry’s job as a tracker that much easier. Perry is a giant at six and a half feet tall with blue eyes and long, curly blond hair.
Jaynie Rousseau has just returned to her den after ten years away. She loves her freedom of doing as she wishes and not having to answer to anyone for her actions. She is only home to help out her cousin Wendy.
Jaynie received a call from Wendy crying about her mate, Steve. He is constantly cheating on her or causing trouble some other way. Jaynie cannot say no to Wendy and comes back home after being away for ten years. Now that Jaynie is home, her days of running free are at an end because an unmated female is not allowed to run alone. Perry has been called to take in Steve who decided to have a bit of fun with an unmated female from another pack. Steve runs, and Perry soon gives chase, but when Jaynie joins in the chase, who is he really after? His job is to grab Steve and take him into his pack leader and once that is done, he is finished, right? He thinks that is the end until Jaynie decides to follow him home.
Wicked is the latest book in the Lunewolf series by Lorie O’Clare. This was the first book in the series that I have read. Normally when you start a series late in the line of books, you seem lost and have a feeling of needing to catch up. I didn’t feel that way with this book at all. Perry is a strong alpha male without question. He is free to do as he wishes and does. Jaynie is also free to do as she wishes but only if she sneaks around to do so. When she meets Perry, she must decide if she wants to be free and on her own or with Perry. Both of them must make the choice of being together or being alone but free. What a tough decision, huh?
