Lucy Cartwright helps ghosts with their unresolved issues so that they can move on to the afterlife. However, lately, ghosts with unresolved sexual issues have begun showing up at her doorstep. It’s bad enough that they are interrupting her sleep, but they are trying to flirt with her and think they will get laid. Her boss, Karma, is not much help when she tells Lucy that maybe they are visiting because they are drawn Lucy’s sexual frustration. When Jake Cox shows up at Lucy’s door, she thinks that Karma is trying to help her out. Much to Lucy’s embarrassment, she finds out that Jake is a PI. They must work together to get Lucy’s next nightly visitor to reveal the details of his murder. Will they be able to avoid the sexual tension between them until the case has been closed?

I give this novella 5 tombstones. Being an accountant myself, I was drawn to the title of the story. How many romance stories have something about accountants? I laughed as I read Vivi Andrews’s stereotypical description of Eliot the accountant. The chemistry between Lucy and Jake is hot, and I could not wait to see where their relationship went. Lucy’s thoughts of Jake were amusing, and I found myself laughing quite a few times throughout this book. “The Ghost Shrink, the Accidental Gigolo & the Poltergeist Accountant” is an entertaining story and a novella worth picking up when you need something light-hearted and fun to read. I really enjoyed Vivi Andrews’s writing style and look forward to reading more of her works in the future.
