Shared by Wolves by Rena Marks
Ellis Rae Morgan would rather marry a stranger than live at home with her father. Ellis decides to sell herself to the highest bidder, a man that she does not know.
Duggan Baddeuax is the alpha werewolf male of his pack and just so happens to live next door to Ellis and her new husband. He sets his eyes on her even though she is married.
Once Ellis is married, her new husband moves her to his home and introduces her to his friends. He treats her as an accessory, but Ellis doesn’t care. During a party, she meets Duggan and is both attracted and disappointed. He could have been the one for her, but he was five hours too late. Duggan knows that she is his true mate and will stop at nothing to have her as his own. One night, Ellis walks in on her husband and his lover. Her husband beats her that night, but Ellis escapes and Duggan comes to her rescue.
This book had so much promise. The blurb told of a great love story, but the fact that she is married turned me off a bit. Rena Marks takes care of that predicament, but the only thing left is sex scene after sex scene. Now, love a good erotic book but I also love a story line, too. Duggan was arrogant but I understand he needed to be to get Ellis to become used to him; problem is, he just never stopped. The only bright spot in the book I felt was Jonathon, Duggan’s youngest brother who had great chemistry with Ellis.
