Eros, My Love is a refreshing and enjoyable short story by April Bostic. She tells the tale of the Greek God, Eros, connecting to his true love. It takes place in present-day Boston, in the winter. We meet Gabby trying to make her way to the diner she works at on one of the coldest days in January. Once there she interacts with the other waitress and regulars that have braved the cold weather. She is given the opportunity of a lifetime and must find out if she is strong enough to determine her fate.
April Bostic does a very good job telling this story. The reader will enjoy getting to know Eros and Gabby. She gives details that allow the reader to relate to the main characters quickly. Gabby is a woman dealing with situations in her life and faced with decisions to make that will have consequences. Eros is a Greek God but also a man trying to find and claim his destiny. The reader will enjoy the high-quality job the author does in giving exciting details of their growing attraction.
April Bostic has delivered a first-class short story in Eros, My Love, as her style of writing plunges the reader directly into this romantic story involving a Greek God and his one and only love. The reader will want to know how Eros and Gabby’s story turns out. Even though it is a short story, it still has a beginning, middle, and end that will keep the reader turning pages.
