Natasha Hemingway was still discovering the psychic abilities that had first made their appearance four months earlier during a deadly car accident. Her roommate, Annette, who worked at Desires Unleashed, had introduced her to Xavier, a vampire who seemed to be developing a great interest in Natasha…and not just for feeding purposes. After Natasha worked with the elite S.U.I.T division, helping to solve a string of murders, she met Darian, another vampire who owned Desires Unleashed, the most successful vampire-owned nightclub in Chicago.
Her day job as a news photographer helped keep Natasha busy and up on all the latest news, though her evenings were reserved for her friends. While leaving for work that day, Natasha realized Annette had not come home, and though concerned, Natasha made a mental note to call Annette later that morning. Little did she realize that Annette’s disappearance would be the tip of the iceberg that involved the supernatural community and the S.U.I.T detectives as well.
Natasha is a strong and courageous woman who accepts the differences between human and supernatural and does not judge someone by their abilities. Though her skills are newly discovered, she recognizes that she has a contribution to make, especially when it comes to locating Annette. I enjoyed the romance between Natasha and Xavier and am looking forward to reading the remainder of the Knights of the Darkness Chronicles.
