The last Shay had heard, Cody was in Special Forces, traveling the world and defending the innocent, and she had never expected to see him again.

Cody had always looked out for Shay when they were children, and since she left the family and moved to Scotland, he had employed other warriors to watch over her without her knowledge. The MacBains were powerful, fighting demons in order to keep the world safe, and they knew more about Shay and her heritage than she did. Can Cody overlook his feelings for Shay in order to protect her from the demon following her, or will he be forced to reveal everything to keep her safe?

Shay is a courageous woman, having left everything she knew to move all the way to Scotland, and her frustration is understandable given that she has been living a life of lies. Cody is a strong warrior, determined to do everything in his power to keep Shay safe from the demon following her, even recruiting another warrior who then fell in love with Shay. I enjoyed seeing their relationship develop in the face the danger surrounding Shay. This was an interesting and exciting read; one I enjoyed very much.
