Witch Devotions by Elizabeth J. Kolodziej
After Trent’s death, Faith was devastated and broken, desperate to do anything to make the pain of losing her soulmate stop. Turning away from everyone except her familiar, Oran, Faith performed a spell that she thought would make her forget her pain. She awakened remembering nothing at all.
Believing what Louis and Vincent told her, that she had been kidnapped by vampires for six months, during which time her memories had been erased, Faith eagerly accepted the training offered to learn skills necessary to kill vampires, even though she had allied herself with vampires in her previous life.
Though Faith has great courage and inner strength, her vulnerability and uncertainty make her all the more believable. Vincent does an excellent job of training Faith, but his lies and deception simply confuse her to the point where she is in danger of losing her self. This fast-paced, high-energy story is a fascinating read, and after reading Elizabeth J. Kolodziej’s other books, I am delighted to say that I finally know what happened on Faith and Trent’s journey.
