The Devil You Know by Sam Cheever
Astra Q. Phelps is almost twenty-five years old. She is half-devil, half- angel, and a sex-craving maniac. Of course this is not her fault, she is at a stage in her Settling which she must choose which half she will take as her true form. Astra finds that as her birthday approaches, this is the year that is her growth period. Serious decisions must be made. The Settling stage ramps up the sexual cravings for anything, and everything, with a pulse. These uncontrolled desires will interfere with her conquest in battling devils and demons. She runs a business called Angel Network, the only one of its kind — interesting since she is half devil herself, and enjoys every waking moment with the sexy, hot devils.
Dialle is about to take over Hades. His father, once the King of Hades, has been taken down. Dialle fights to be the new ruler, and maintain peace. Funny coming from a Devil himself, but he knows that the world depends on some form of control from below. Daille is also Astra’s lover. The pair must unite, in front of the devil world for Dialle to take the crown. The ceremony requires the two to come together in many different forms.
Astra finds that as Dialle takes over Hades, all Hell breaks loose in the rest of the world. She is busy fighting demons, fighting off sex cravings, and trying to save her sister from the real Devil himself. She encounters numerous obstacles along the way, all of which bring her closer to the dark side.
Sam Cheever’s The Devil You Know is extremely entertaining. The author does a fantastic job creating a comical character for every reader to love. Astra is strong, opinionated, and quick with her tongue which makes her hilarious. The adventures of this duo are attention-grabbing, edge-of-your- seat enjoyment. The comedy intermingles with drama to make for an eager page-turner. I thoroughly enjoyed every page of this book.
