Jade Simmons is the owner of a very successful wedding planning agency called Nocturnal Nuptials, where she helps vampires plan their perfect wedding day. Jade has it all; a very successful business that she built and a reputation of being one of the best. There is only one thing missing in Jade’s life, and that is a man. Jade is always the wedding planner and never the bride, until the man of her dreams walks through the door.

Renaldi D’ Aria comes to Nocturnal Nuptials to help his friends plan their wedding, but when he lays his eyes on Jade he wants nothing more than to sweep her off her feet. But Jade is full of self doubts and she feels that she is not good enough for him. Determined to capture her affection, Renaldi tries to make her see just how beautiful she truly is and that he genuinely cares for her. Just when Jade starts to understand how Renaldi feels he gets a phone call from the empress of the Gulf Coast Vampire Court. He must choose a bride from the court by the next full moon or forfeit his place among them forever. Renaldi must choose between the human he loves and the court he has sworn to follow. Will Jade ever be more than just the wedding planner?

I Was A Vampire Wedding Planner by Alecia Monaco is a wonderfully written short story that will leave your heart fluttering. I had a really hard time putting it down. I absolutely fell in love with the characters. They were so intriguing it made the story truly awesome. There was never a dull moment. I give this story, without a doubt, 5 tombstones.
