Simon Northam, Duke of Hurstgrove, meets his brother Mason’s fiancée days before he is to stand up beside his half-sibling and watch him take Felicia as his bride. With only slightly more than a handshake, Simon knows he has found his mate. Of all times, and of all people in the world, how could he live with that knowledge? To make matters worse, Mathais is after her. For some magical reason she is an Untouchable and magic will not work within 200 yards of her, but he has plans to make use of her powers to bring back Morganna leFay and take over the world with their combined power. And Simon must make her see that he has loved her from first sight.
Felicia Stafford wants to be a wife and mother and expects the man she is marrying, her best friend, to stay just that—a friend—after they are married. She won’t give him her heart, or rather, she can’t give him her heart. She won’t risk it after what happened to her sister. When the sexy Simon kidnaps her to save her from a madman, her instinctive power of being able to smell a lie tells her that he is sincere in his devotion to keep her safe, but when he declares his love after only a few days together and she can see it is the truth, Felicia must find a way to break down her own walls and decide whether to allow him in. When they must face the evil that Mathias has planned, it is up to her to save them all.
Fleeing across the English countryside, the two must not only deal with the threat of Mathais, but also hordes of paparazzi when they decide to use Simon’s notoriety and the fact that he abducted his brothers fiancée away from her own wedding to their advantage. After a brief confrontation with Mason himself, a trip to a jail cell and another escape, they soon gather with the other Brethren to try and destroy the one thing Mathias wants most of all: the essence of Morganna and the chance defeat the Doomsday Brethren once and for all. The only power they have to fight his demented plan is to trust in each other and truly bond, but with her heart scarred by her sister’s mistakes, it will take more than Felicia believes she can give to save not only the man she loves but the brother that is her best friend.
Wooookkkayyy. The Doomsday Brethren are one hawt bunch of Wizard Warriors. Sexy, sinful, powerful and delightfully arousing, these men are beyond flammable—they are scorching. The women that stand beside them are strong and determined as well, and the powers that they bring to the couplings make them equals and make their stories even more sizzling. Have you gotten the idea that I thought this book was one hot commodity? Well if you didn’t, let me say it again a bit differently: hunky wizard men who are faithful, loving and brave fight side by side with their women, their bonded mates, to defeat an evil wizard who will stop at nothing to get what he wants even if it includes kidnapping, rape and murder. Entice Me at Twilight is another fantastic offering in the Doomsday Brethren series and one that has earned a permanent spot on my keeper wall.
