Hi everybody!
I am very excited to offer up TEN brand new shiny copies of Ghouls, Ghouls, Ghouls by Victoria Laurie today. This is book 5 in the Ghost Hunter Mysteries series.
About the Book:
“When M.J. Holliday and the crew of her cable TV show, Ghoul Getters, venture to the haunted ruins of Dunlow Castle in Ireland, drawn by the legend of hidden treasure, they hope the road will rise up to meet them, that the wind will always be at their backs-and that the resident phantom won’t push them off a cliff. If they treasure their lives, M.J. and her ghost busters need to get the drop on the menacing phantom…”
Books in the series in the order they should be read:
What’s a Ghoul to Do?
Demons Are a Ghoul’s Best Friend
Ghouls Just Haunt to Have Fun
Ghouls Gone Wild
Ghouls, Ghouls, Ghouls
About the Author:
“When I was in the 7th grade I took one of those career aptitude tests – you know, the ones where you answer a bunch of questions and the results indicate what profession you’d best be suited for? Yeah, well my test results indicated I was best suited for a career as a government spy.
A SPY!
I think I had the coolest results in the entire class.
Needless to say, I did not follow that particular career path – or maybe I just took the more indirect route. In my thirties a very good friend of mine who is now one of the world’s most renowned psychic mediums suggested I stop ignoring my talents and dive right into the professional world of a psychic intuitive. On a lark, I did. And the results were pretty mind-blowing. Within just a few short weeks even I couldn’t deny it – so much of what I predicted for total strangers was coming true and I really had to accept the “gift” so to speak.
Over the years I’ve built a really fabulous clientele and all those experiences have helped me create the Psychic Eye Mysteries, the Ghost Hunter Mysteries, and – for children – Oracles of Delphi Keep. And along that way I discovered my true love – writing.
Writing is one of those passions that gets me out of bed in the morning and invigorates my day. I love spinning a good yarn, and when I feel I actually get it right – wow! There is no better feeling.
In fact, the other day I was kicking back after a looooong day of writing, which ended in the completion of a manuscript and I remember just marveling in the fact that I actually get paid to daydream! I can’t think of a more satisfying way to spend a life. And let’s face it – it’s a whole lot safer than working some covert operation. Although – I’m pretty sure the benefits might be better at the CIA. Still, I’ll stick to my daydreams…at least for now…
”

2. I have a true ghost story..when I was growing up you could hear chains being dragged across the attic floor where we lived. We had check things out..well my parents did..I was too young.. and it was told a man was kept up there as he was not safe to be around people and his family would make him stay there so he would not harm anyone. I guess back in the early years people with disabilities would be hidden in such ways. I would cover my head whenever I heard the sounds and we only loved there about 1 year and we moved away.

My favorite changes with what I’m, currently reading. I just finished one by Bernita Harris “Dark and Disorderly” that had a ghost dog in it that protected the heroine, that I loved. While I’ve never seen a ghost, I’m open to the possibilities.
I haven’t started the “Ghost Hunter Mystery”, though I do have at least the first two on my shelf. I’ve read almost all the “Psychic Eye Mystery” and loved it so know I’m in for a treat with the Ghost Hunter mysteries.

My ghost story is from when my Mother was very ill. I lived upstairs and had touch activated bedroom lights given to me by my grandmother. They would go on and off constantly and then stop. One night my mother could not breathe but could not call out to tell me. The lights went on and off until I got the message to go down and check on her. After that they would do that I would check on Mom and sure enough she needed help of some sort. After Mom passed away the lights did their thing on the day of the funeral but never since.

My favorite ghost story is a local story! It is called the Pactolus lights and i lived on the road that intersects the road that this ghost story “happened”. A young man was driving home late one night on this old country road, and he missed seeing a curve, drove into the ditch, hit a tree and died. now every night he wonders the road trying to stop people from going down the road by making their cars break down. he does this by circling your car while you are going dow the road, because he appears as a big ball of light. My brother showed the lights to me one night (when i was young) and i was scared witless. i wont ruin it by telling you what really made the lights really shine ^_^!
Yes, i have seen a ghost, so yes i believe in them.

2. I like Japanese ghost stories, they are usually creepy and spooky. My favorite is about a man who, late at night, is walking home and hears a woman in a kimono crying he approaches her to see what’s wrong and she looks up and has no face. She turns her head towards him and disappears. He runs away screaming and comes upon a noodle shop. He orders a bowl of noodles from the cook who is facing away from him. As the chef turns to hand him his noodles, he looks up and notices the cook has no face either. He runs away screaming.+ 5 points max

3. Do I believe in ghosts? Yes. Our house is the second haunted house we have lived in. My daughter has had several experiences and one that was very frightening.
Our son woke one night to see a little girl standing by his bed.
Our first night in the house, I awoke to the definite feeling of someone standing in the doorway watching us. It wasn’t threatening, just sort of a “you are the new ones and you’re accepted” kind of feeling. I have had that same feeling of being watched many times over the years. Our house was built in 1898 and is located in the area of an old indian village.
The house is purported to have a “lady in white” that appears on the upstairs landing before someone dies. Our youngest claims to have seen her the night before our cat died. I don’t want to find out if this ghost story holds true.
I grew up in an old 1865 farm house. Many times I heard water running, footsteps, or breathing. The feeling of being watched was often present. Unlike the house we live in now, no one ever claimed to see anything.

There used to be a tale they told around here about the high school being buried really close to a burial ground for animals, horses in particular. And when you were at the school late for ball practice or something you could sometimes here the horses galloping down the hallways.

Now that you asked about a favorite ghost story I am totally blank even though I’ve read a few. I think I’m gonna go with Elizabeth Chandler’s Kissed By An Angel books… technically the boyfriend is an angel, not a ghost but he’s pretty much a ghost for all intents and purposes. And who didn’t love the movie Ghost with Patrick Swayze? It was on TV the other night and I caught my husband watching it. teehee!
I do not believe in ghosts. I think it’s certainly possible that there is energy left behind that might be felt but I’ve never had any experiences that lead me to believe in ghosts. I do love ghost stories though.
