Delilah Street has settled into the insane life in Vegas. But, her boyfriend, Ric Montoya, thinks she needs to make a trip back to Kansas and confront her past. So, they travel back to Kansas, where Delilah slowly follows the “yellow brick road” to find out more about herself and her “twin.” But, the mysteries of Vegas still manage to follow her when a mysterious financial backer of the area’s newest casino makes an appearance. Ric and Delilah will need to get to the bottom of another mystery.

Silver Zombie is another fascinating installment in the Delilah Street saga. What has been cool about the series is the ongoing story line. Delilah makes the trip to Vegas and each book tells about a different adventure in Delilah’s new life in there. She has met a fabulous man, gained a pet, and made some enemies, all in a short period of time. Delilah’s backstory has been a source of fascination for me, so I was excited to read in Silver Zombie about her trip back to search out her past and for the girl who brought her to Vegas in the first place.

While not all of my questions were answered by this book, there were a few that got resolution. If you are a paranormal mystery buff, this is a series I would recommend jumping into. It is never boring and Delilah is a character who will enchant you from the very first page.

Book Synopsis: “Zombies and Witches and Vamps . . . Oh, My!

What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas—at least that’s Delilah Street’s hope. With Sin City’s vampire and werewolf mobs wanting to cash in her chips once and for all, she’s retreating with her partner Ric Montoya and half-wolfhound Quicksilver to her Kansas birthplace. Unfortunately, when it comes to finding trouble, there’s no place like home. . . .

It doesn’t take long before Delilah realizes she’s not in Vegas anymore. Zombie cowboys and spectral cattle drives are kicking up dust, the local weather girls are total witches who forecast perfect storms, and some Hollywood fanatic is recasting zombies as the greatest stars of the silver screen. And speaking of silver, Delilah’s special affinity for the all-purpose monster-repellent leads her posse straight down a silver brick road—and into a notso- fun house of mirrors—putting her face-to-face with her dicey past and a mystery woman named Lilith, who’s a real dead ringer for Delilah. The key word being dead.”

  1. If I didn’t already have this book on my wishlist, the Oz references would force me to put it there. Anyone smart enough to “Lions, Tigers,& Bears Oh My” blurb me, has me hook, line & sinker. What can I say, besides being a long time WoO fan, I’m easy.
