Sisters Andrea and Anna Chouette moved into the town of Baniff to begin a new life, hoping desperately that their old lives were forever behind them. Baniff is a town of Owls, and the Halk brothers work tirelessly to ensure it is a place of peace and prosperity for their species. Baniff lies close to the Canadian Rockies, a perfect habitat for owls in their natural feathered state and a safe place for their human form. Owls are known for their loyalty, logical thinking and rigid sense of honor. Emotions are tightly reined, while logic and rational thinking are demanded, even from the very young. But Owls are also fierce in their role as predators and protectors and sometimes instinct wars with logic.

Beel Halk is aware of the new residents, and his interest is heightened at his first glimpse of Andrea. She is strong, fierce and seemingly haunted. He had always prided himself on his logic and commitment to the safety of his nest and his town, but Andrea’s very presence and secrets tests his resolve and bachelorhood. Andrea feels like her life is in a tailspin as she’s torn between her desire for Beel and her need to protect them all from the evil that stalks her. Two strong personalities must learn to fly together to overcome a past and ensure a future.

Feather Adored is tale of love, hate and passion in a species that values intellect over emotion. The tension is carefully built and the suspense spun in a slow-building spiral with a climatic end. The passion between Beel and Andrea builds as slowly as the suspenseful back story and the erotic scenes are hot, edgy and explosive. Lorie O’Clare has crafted a fascinating world, filled with exquisitely unique cultures. Feather Adored is a gripping, well told story that leaves the reader wishing for more.
