A clever set of stories inspired by the “Evil Overlord List” which has been making its way around the geeks’ online universe for a few years now. This first issue (apparently) in a series is a lot of fun both for fans of the (in)famous list, which makes fun of “evil overlord” tropes that find their way into science-fiction and superhero tales. The stories are unrelated, but a lot of fun, and I really like both the book and the idea behind it.

Each story is very short (a few pages at most), and reviewing each individually was a waste; they work best in the group, rather than read separately. I thought that the book could have benefited from a few more stories and maybe a little bit more editing.

Overall, this was great, and I hope the authors put together another compilation, because this one was snarky and entertaining.
