Frights & Delights by Melissa Glisan
Rave On Rae DeBolt has had a really bad week. Her girlfriend left her, her job stinks and all in all she really needs to let her hair down and relax a little. That is what bring her to Club Marquis. So after a couple of pick me up pills and a drink she goes out to dance with a willowy young lady that will change things for her forever. If she survives the night.
Echoes of Yesterday Jackie Johnson is a rambunctious young boy who lives in coal mine country. Not long ago a hole opened up in his yard, a common enough occurrence in that kind of area, but what happens to Jackie is far from common. This tale of mystery will truly warm your heart while sending a chill down your spine.
Frights & Delights by Melissa Gilsan is a nice duet of short stories. Totally unrelated in their content but very profound in their own ways Rave On and Echoes of Yesterday are great stories. Well developed characters and flowing descriptions make it even more surprising that these two wonderful stories are a scant 24 pages long in total. I look forward to what else Ms. Gilsan produces in the future.
