Love Can Be Murder by Sierra Wolfe
Century-old vampire Alexander Forsythe has woman troubles. A very feisty apparition by the name of Abbie Cowan is hell-bent on wrecking his house and everything in it. He hopes Willow Cowan, a distant relative of the trouble-making ghost, can save his home and his sanity before they crumble under the force of a temperamental spirit.
Willow’s family has been looking for Abbie since she disappeared many years ago. The only picture Willow could find was of the woman wearing a beautiful necklace—a necklace that happens to be in Alex’s possession. It seems Abbie has a vendetta against the vampire, and to stop her, Alex and Willow must discover why.
There is so much you can do with ghosts and old houses in fiction, and I was pleased to see the potential in both tapped. Vengeance is one of my favorite themes, and Sierra did a wonderful job of exploring what lengths a woman would go to for revenge.
The extreme ups and downs of Alex and Willow’s relationship was a bit forced, but the attraction was spot on, making Love Can Be Murder by Sierra Wolfe a steamy adventure into the world of witchcraft, vampires, and ghosts with a grudge.
