Eighty years after a pair of newlyweds and the owner of a gas station are gunned down in cold blood at the gas station the old building is coming to life again in a new incarnation, a coffee shop. Lucy and her daughters begin to serve coffee and pastries to the citizens of Infinity, Texas with a large helping of personal charm thrown in for free. As the new owners of the Java Pump learn about life and the history of the old building bonds are built between the townsfolk.
I really enjoyed this novel. It was well written and kept me coming back for more. I couldn’t put the book down. It was refreshing for me to share in the lives of the folk of Infinity and they touched me as much as their fellow citizens. The Java Pump is a Christian drama that will engage people of all faiths. I would recommend this read to anyone from teenagers on up.
