A bizarre cold front has gripped the entire continent of North America, stirring a panic worldwide. Scientists have no answers, and religious leaders believe the end of the world is near.

Rose was involved in an accident three years ago and has lost her memory. David claims he saved Rose from the accident. He only visits occasionally to check on her and ask if her memory has returned.

Rose dreams of excitement in her life, and her dreams are answered, but not in the way she had hoped, when a group of men come to her home and assault her. David once again comes to her rescue and attempts to protect her from ancient and immortal beings intent on Roses’s destruction.

Gabriel Madison has written a very entertaining and complex novel dealing with supernatural beings, immortals and secret societies. There are many surprising revelations, and they keep coming throughout the book. The most unexpected and exciting deals with David’s past. Just when you think you have it all figured out, Madison pulls a surprise punch, and you have to rethink your own premature conclusions.

The characters are fully fleshed out with a dialogue that is truly believable, which is sometimes lacking in the fantasy genre. The book was well written and quite enjoyable.
