Lady Julianne Bradley is exactly that: a Lady. In a time where women are chattel, the best that her parents can hope for is a good match. But when she has feelings for a man way below her social standing, can it be anything more than a dream?

Gideon Mayne is a Bow Street Runner. A man who worked his way up from nothing is now one of the best in his field. He knows that Julianne is too high above him, but that does not stop his imagination from running full force.

Lady Julianne wants more than her parents have. She wants love. She wants adventure. She wants Gideon. Gideon has not been able to get Julianne out of his mind, his dreams, and his fantasies. And when he finally gets to know her, it is even better than his imagination! He knows that there is no way they can be together, but at least he can keep her safe.

Seduced at Midnight is the third book in Jacquie D’Alessandro’s Mayhem in Mayfair series. If you enjoy a historical romance with a paranormal twist, then this is a great story. I enjoyed the fact that Julianne and Gideon actually got to know each other; it was more than just fiery lust run rampant. They fall in love, not just lust, and I enjoyed that. I figured out pretty quickly who the bad guy was, and that slightly ruined the mystery for me, but I enjoyed the romance none the less. I have not read the first two books, but I would suggest that you read them in order to get the full measure of the series.
